Ministry of State for Equality and Integration

The Ministry of Equality and Integration is responsible for the three major themes: equality, integration of immigrants and promotion of democracy. The goal of modern equality policy is equal opportunities for women and men throughout their life. The integration policy aims to support people who have come to Germany to integrate into society. In contrast to the Ministry of the Interior, which deals primarily with the formal and legal questions of the asylum process,the ministry is focused on integration.
